Journal 8: Book Adventure

The Amazing Book Hunt Adventure

In the far, far away in the woods, there was a grandma (which is my grandma) who (a fox) is Mr. Fox had taken her books away from her, in which was her favorite books. After the situation had happened, I came in an early morning to visit Grandma. “Hi Grandma,” I said. In a while we then both sat down and talked.

Grandma told me the disaster she has happened that Mr. Fox took her favorite books away and hides them. She then asks me to help her find her books for her, that Mr. Fox had left a note to Grandma if she wants her book back. While reading through it, I know I’m off for a mission on my own. I did what Mr. Fox had in his note.
Tomarrow early morning, I packed a map so I won’t get lost, the list of books with call numbers that Grandma had given to me before I left her house, water bottles, and some food into my backpack in case I’m hungry. I left home then start walking 12 miles to Mr. Fox’s building of books that contain 6 floors. When I get to the place at the front desk, there was a note and a map of the floors where I could locate Grandma’s books. According to the note Mr. Fox had lefted for me is, “Whatever door you enter first, exit the same enterence or else you will never return home.”

While looking at the map from Mr. Fox had lefted, I took a sip of water and a bite on my sandwich that I had brought with me from this morning. I then took out the book call numbers in my backpack. I arranged the 7 call numbers (with a book list of 7 books), according to the floors that they’re at I won’t be lost and I know where I am in the building with full of millions of books, yuck! I took a deep breath then enter 2 doors that looks like it has 2 eyes and 2 small noses.

I first start off the adventure going up the stair to the 5th floor to find a book on North America. When I got to the 5th floor my legs starts to be sore. Then looking to my left I saw an elevator. I then wish I see it before I went up the stairs. When I enter the door to go into the 5th floor and look around the room. There were so many bookshelves all over the place. While looking the call number of the book and the labelings on the side of the bookshelf I then could locate the book I’m looking for. Walking all over the room there it was my Grandma’s book.

I went out the door when I enter the 5th floor. I decided to take the elevator down to 4th floor even though I’m going down instead of up, but all well. I went into the elevator, the door opens to the 4th floor. Enter the door that led me to the 4th floor. The place looks very similar to the floor that I was just been at. By looking at the call number LA1501. B5 about Africa. Walking shelves through shelves. Ah ha! This is what I’m looking for. Looking back to the book list I still have 1 more books in this floor. This one is about Australia. Shelves through shelves. Where could this book be locate at. There!

Now that I’m done looking for those books on the 4th floor. My next book hunt adventure is on the 3rd floor. The last floor, yeh! Down I go to the 3rd floor, open the door, look at the list there are 4 books that I still need to find. The first book on this floor is on Asia. Look, look, where could this book be. Eventually, I find it where it is it’s between these tights books that I don’t need to look at. Next book on Europe. Almost every bookselves I look at are  the same. This is making me dizzy. I then take a 5 minute break before I continue on my hunt. Again walking through shelves by shelves. That’s the book I’m looking for I could spy on it. The next book on the list is about South America. Some of these books are not easiest to find if I didn’t labels of the call numbers. Looking at the top shelf there it was. Now that I’m done with 6 books I have on the list, 7 left to go. This last one is about Antarctica. The book was located  on the middle of one of the bookshelves in the back of the room. Now that I’m done looking for Grandma’s 7 favorite books. It’s time to return to my cozy little home.
Remembering back to Mr. Fox’s note, “Whatever door you enter first, exit the same
enterence or else you will never return home.” I took the elevator down to main floor. Standing in
front of 2 door I took a deep breath then open it. When the door close behind me. I look back, there
are 2 doors that looks like it has 2 eyes and 2 small noses. In just a few seconds looking at the door.
There was a word appear on top of the door. ACHIEVE. Then I turn around and walk out Mr. Fox’s
building with a smile on face with Grandma’s favorite books in my backpack. Everything I got is all
there.
